Terms of Service

1. The service

CocoLinks (“we”, “us”) lets you create short links at cocolinks.in, change where they point, customise how they look when shared, publish a bio page, and see click statistics. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account, your password and everything created under it. Keep your login details private and tell us if you think someone else has access.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use CocoLinks to link to or promote:

• phishing, malware, scams or anything designed to deceive visitors;
• spam, or content that breaks the rules of the platform you share the link on;
• illegal content, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.

We may disable any link or account that breaks these rules, without notice.

4. Links made without an account

Anyone may shorten a link on our home page without creating an account. By doing so you agree to these terms. For links made this way:

• the person who made the link can’t edit, pause or delete it later — create a free account to manage your links;
• we may disable or delete, without notice, any link that breaks these terms: spam, phishing, malware, scams, adult content, links to other URL shorteners, or illegal content;
• rate limits apply, and we may pause shortening without an account at any time;
• traffic sharing (section 5) applies, as it does to links made by member accounts.

5. Traffic sharing

CocoLinks is free to use. In return, a portion of the visits to short links created by member accounts, or without an account, may be sent to pages chosen by CocoLinks — our own websites or partner pages — instead of the link’s destination.

• CocoLinks decides the size of that portion. It can differ between accounts and may change at any time.
• Shared visits still count in your link statistics.
• Link previews on social networks always show your own title, description and image.

By creating an account, or by shortening a link without one, you agree to traffic sharing on your links.

6. Statistics and privacy

We record anonymous click data (time, country, device, browser, referrer) to provide statistics. CocoLinks itself sets no tracking cookies on short links (if you add your own ad pixel, that pixel’s provider may), and visitor IP addresses are not stored.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep CocoLinks running reliably but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees. We may change features or these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service means you accept it.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using CocoLinks at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. When an account is removed, its short links stop working.
